Physical Education

Head of Department: Mr Andrew Jackson

Physical Education is a fundamental part of any child’s development and we are dedicated to ensuring that pupils at Our Lady and St John Catholic College are given the very best opportunities. The department creates a positive and enjoyable environment, where students feel safe and learning is the main priority. Pupils take part in a wide range of sports and activities during their PE lessons and Extra Curricular clubs, all led by a highly qualified, motivated and keen team of PE specialists. We approach each learning opportunity in an innovative and creative way to ensure that every pupil is able to make progress and have fun. Physical Education develops our pupils’ competence and confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school. A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities.
