Lent Reflection

This Lent, many pupils have had the unique and moving opportunity to reflect on the season of penance and renewal in a special way, guided by Mrs. Ackroyd.

In the peaceful setting of the chapel, the pupils were invited to journey deeper into the meaning of Lent through a reflective and thought-provoking session.

In this session, Mrs. Ackroyd narrated and Ms. Hall took on the role of Mary, offering a perspective that connected the traditional Lenten themes with personal reflection. Through their portrayal, the pupils were invited to reflect on Mary’s strength, her quiet devotion, and the love she showed through her journey with Christ. The session highlighted how Lent is not just about sacrifice but also about spiritual growth, compassion, and finding strength in faith.

The Year 8 pupils listened attentively as they reflected on the themes of love, patience, and devotion. The chapel provided a serene atmosphere, encouraging quiet thoughtfulness and personal connection to the season of Lent. Pupils were given space to reflect on their own Lenten journey and how they could incorporate the lessons of the season into their lives.

This experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of reflection, prayer, and service during Lent. The pupils left the chapel with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of what it means to walk the path of faith, just as Mary did.
