Year 8 Students Take Part in STEM Workshop with BAE Systems

Year 8 students recently enjoyed an engaging and hands-on STEM workshop delivered by professionals from BAE Systems. The session gave pupils the opportunity to explore how science, technology, engineering and mathematics are used in real-world industries.

During the workshop, students worked collaboratively to solve engineering-based challenges, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. They were introduced to key concepts used in the aerospace and defence sectors and learned how STEM subjects studied in school can lead to exciting and varied career pathways.

The workshop also highlighted the importance of innovation and problem-solving, while allowing students to ask questions and gain insight into working within a STEM-related field. Many pupils found the session inspiring and motivating, particularly in helping them understand how classroom learning connects to future opportunities.

We would like to thank BAE Systems for delivering an informative and inspiring workshop and for supporting our students in developing their interest in STEM subjects.
